Job summary

IMC Trading in Amsterdam develops in-house C++ software that sits in the latency-critical loop of our trading stack. We connect to exchanges worldwide, process massive market data in real time, and execute complex trading algorithms with hardware integration where software alone isn’t fast enough.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Solid programming skills in modern C++ (C++17 or later).
• Interest in how software runs on hardware: memory, caches, networks.
• Flexible and proactive in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain systems that connect IMC to exchanges, including market data parsing and order entry.
• Implement and optimise execution logic with traders and quants.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate FPGA-based systems and low-latency networks.
• Measure, profile and improve performance of systems.
• Develop expertise across the full software development lifecycle.
