ING in Amsterdam seeks a Business Manager who acts as trusted advisor to the CCO, translating Compliance strategy into execution and supporting the Management Team. You coordinate cross-domain topics, support financial and portfolio oversight, and enable timely decision-making at senior levels.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, comfortable in a dynamic environment, and able to manage strategic initiatives and ad-hoc topics with impact across Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Act as advisor and sounding board to the CCO
  • Coordinate and track the execution of Compliance strategic priorities, ensuring alignment across domains and locations
  • Prepare high-quality communications and presentations for senior stakeholders, incl. Management Board Banking, Supervisory Board, Bank NFRC and other internal and external forums
  • Prepare and facilitate Management Team meetings, off-sites, and employee gatherings, in close collaboration with the Personal Assistant
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, governance, and ways of working, in line with the Compliance’s objectives and strategic ambitions
  • Support and drive change initiatives aimed at increasing effectiveness, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making within Compliance
  • Act as a central point of coordination for cross-functional and ad-hoc topics, assessing impact and ensuring timely follow-up
  • Maintain and further develop strong stakeholder relationships within and outside the CRO domain

Job description

As Business Manager, you act as a trusted advisor sparring partner and sounding board to the CCO. You play a central role in translating Compliance strategy into execution, enabling the effective functioning of the Management Team, and ensuring that strategic priorities are delivered in a structured, consistent, and forward‑looking way. You coordinate complex, cross‑domain topics, support financial and portfolio oversight, and enable decision‑making at senior level. The role requires a hands‑on, proactive business manager who is comfortable operating in a highly dynamic environment, managing both strategic initiatives and ad‑hoc topics with impact across the Compliance landscape.

The Team

You will report hierarchically to the CCO, located in Amsterdam. In this role you will support the CCO on relevant priorities and projects across the Global Compliance function.
