Job description

Help shape how a new technology is used in drug discovery

Delta Life Science is bringing inQuiQ to the market, a novel platform for real-time biomolecular interaction analysis, developed together with TNO and rooted in Dutch innovation.

Our first customers are now using the technology, and we are expanding across pharma, biotech and CROs in Europe. As we grow, we are looking for a Business Development Manager who can help us turn a promising technology into a well-positioned product with clear value for researchers and drug discovery teams.

This is not a traditional sales role. You will own the commercial process, but you will also work closely with customers and our technical team to understand where inQuiQ creates real value, which applications we should focus on, and how we should bring the technology to market.

What you’ll do

You will take ownership of our commercial activities across Europe, from identifying opportunities to turning early users into long-term customers.

  • Identify and engage scientists, assay developers, project leaders and decision-makers within pharma, biotech and CROs
  • Develop relationships with potential users and understand their research challenges and workflows
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, demonstrations, proposals, negotiations and onboarding
  • Build relationships with early adopters and turn successful applications into commercial opportunities
  • Work with distributors and partners where relevant
  • Explore where label-free interaction analysis can add value in drug discovery and development
  • Work with customers to identify promising applications, use cases and unmet needs
  • Translate customer feedback into clear input for product development and positioning
  • Help define our target markets, applications and value propositions
  • Support application-driven validation, including white papers, case studies and co-authored publications
  • Work closely with the technical team to turn real-world customer needs into product improvements
Building the commercial engine
  • Help develop our go-to-market strategy for pharma, biotech and CROs
  • Structure where needed: CRM, lead qualification, pricing logic, sales processes and event planning
  • Represent Delta at conferences, customer meetings and industry events across Europe
  • Continuously test what works – and improve it
Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who enjoys being close to both science and business. You don't need to tick every box. What matters most is that you are curious, commercially driven and comfortable figuring things out as you go.

You might recognize yourself in some of this:

  • You have a background in life sciences, ideally at Bachelor or Master level
  • You have experience in life science sales, business development, applications or a related field
  • You understand how research is done in pharma, biotech or CRO environments
  • You enjoy talking to scientists and asking questions to understand the real problem behind a request
  • You are interested in the technology behind the product, but always think from the customer's perspective
  • You are not afraid of hearing “no” and enjoy turning an uncertain opportunity into something concrete
  • You are based in the Netherlands and willing to travel regularly across Europe
Why Delta?

This is an early commercial role with a lot of room to shape what comes next.

We already have the technology, the first customers and years of technical knowledge behind us. Now we are building the next stage: understanding where the technology can make the biggest impact and turning that into a scalable business.

You will:

  • Help define how inQuiQ is positioned and used in pharma, biotech and CROs
  • Work directly with customers, scientists, product development and the founding team
  • Have a real influence on product direction and go-to-market strategy
  • Build commercial relationships across Europe
  • See the direct impact of your work on our customers and our company
  • Grow with a company where your responsibilities can grow with you

There will be structure to build, problems to solve and things that don't work the first time. That's part of the job.
