Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Rotterdam is seeking a seasoned Business Controller to partner with local leadership, drive planning and forecasting, and steer project controlling for improved profitability and governance.

You will translate strategy into measurable results, manage multiple stakeholders in an international setting, and support both operational and strategic decisions with robust financial insights.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in controlling, FP&A, or finance business partnering.
• Experience in industrial, engineering, manufacturing, technology, or project-driven environments.
• Proven track record supporting both operational and strategic business decisions.
• Experience in an international matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication, influencing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ensure accurate financial reporting, high-quality data, and compliance with closing schedules.

At Hitachi Energy, you will act as a trusted business partner to the Local Service Unit leadership team, helping drive financial performance and sustainable growth. As a Business Controller, you will combine financial expertise with business insight to support strategic decision-making, improve operational performance, and strengthen financial governance.

You will work closely with business managers, project managers, sales teams, operations, and finance stakeholders to translate strategy into measurable results. Your role will focus on business planning, forecasting, project controlling, performance management, and financial reporting. By turning financial data into actionable insights, you will help the organization make informed decisions and achieve its business objectives.
