Job description

As a Business Controller at West Coast Supply Group, you are right at the heart of the business. As part of our Finance team, you support our Commercial Divisions and/or Enabling teams with the insights, analysis and financial perspective they need to make smart decisions.

You are part of the Business Control team and report to the Manager Business Control. With a hands‑on mindset and a strong eye for what really matters, you turn data into clear reports, meaningful insights and practical advice for your stakeholders.

At West Coast, we are always looking for ways to improve. You actively contribute to further professionalizing Business Control by making processes smarter and more efficient, challenging the way we work and turning new insights and business needs into better ways of working together. High performance, continuous improvement and teamwork are simply part of how we get things done.

As our Medior Business Controller, you're not a back-office number cruncher — you're the person who connects the dots between financial data and business reality. You dig into the numbers, challenge what you see, and help the organization make smarter, faster decisions.

In this medior role, we expect you to manage your own work independently and to provide support to senior colleagues (and your manager) and the projects you are involved in.

Turn Numbers Into Insight

  • You dive deep into monthly and quarterly results, not just to report them, but to figure out why they look the way they do.

  • You spot trends, outliers, and risks before they show up as problems, and you're not afraid to ask "why" one more time than everyone else.

  • You build and improve KPIs and dashboards that are used, not filed away.

  • You bring insights to the table proactively, nobody must ask you twice what's driving the numbers.

Be the Bridge Between Finance and the Business

  • You're the go‑to person for managers and teams who want to understand what the numbers mean for them.

  • You translate finance-speak into plain language and business realities back into financial impact.

  • You build real relationships across the organization, so finance is seen as a partner in growth, not a gatekeeper.

  • You're hands‑on in forecasting, budgeting, and business cases, working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with the teams that own them.

Keep Us Sharp and In Control

  • You make sure our financial house is in order: accurate, timely, and trustworthy reporting, always.

  • You keep a close eye on cash flow, working capital, and debtor positions, because a growing company lives and dies by its cash.

  • You spot where processes and controls need tightening, and you're not shy about fixing them.

  • For you, "control" isn't just spreadsheets, it's understanding the operational and commercial reality behind every number, and making sure the business stays healthy as it scales.

Being part of West Coast Supply Group means:

Having the freedom to find your own winning formula. We are a multicultural and dynamic group of individuals, who all share a top‑scoring mentality and a commercial mindset. You will feel part of our team, meet amazing colleagues, and make new friends, in no time. West Coast Supply Group’s people make it a power factory; the open‑minded and collaborative team are key to (y)our success: we cheer each other on, you can ask for help, and you have the freedom to be your own entrepreneur.

Benefits
  • Leave Entitlement: 25 vacation days per year, with the option to purchase additional days;

  • Professional Development: Access to LinkedIn Learning and support from a dedicated team focused on your personal and professional growth;

  • Weekly Drinks: Unwind every Friday with drinks and snacks at our in‑office bar;

  • Exclusive Events: Join our summer and Christmas parties, featuring activities like go‑karting and boat trips;

  • Travel Reimbursement: We cover your commuting costs;

  • Celebrating Diversity: Work in a vibrant environment with over 47 nationalities;

  • Health and Wellbeing: Enjoy fresh fruit in the office every day;

  • Referral Program: Receive a bonus for referring suitable candidates;

  • Dynamic Work Culture: Be part of a young, ambitious, and international team;

  • Autonomous Work Environment: Work independently in an environment built on trust and support;

  • Pension Scheme: Secure your future with our comprehensive pension plan.

This is you!

  • Master of Science in Business Administration;

  • Fluent in English;

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a business controller;

  • Experience in logistics/warehouse sector is a big plus;

  • You have a nose for business – you see the story behind the numbers and know how to bring finance and the organization closer together;

  • You think like an entrepreneur, comfortable running, with things independently, but you know real impact happens as part of a team;

  • Show initiative, you are driven by results, and you think in opportunities.
