Your responsibilities
- Support the development, maintenance and improvement of the BCM framework as a BCM subject matter expert, in line with internal requirements and applicable regulatory expectations.
- Coordinate the BCM lifecycle, including BIAs, continuity risk assessments, recovery requirements, plan maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Support business functions in identifying critical processes, dependencies and third-party resilience considerations, and in developing, maintaining and exercising their continuity plans.
- Coordinate with IT and Cybersecurity teams to align business continuity requirements with IT disaster recovery capabilities and recovery objectives.
- Design and coordinate cross-functional crisis management and business continuity exercises; support incident response preparedness, capture lessons learned and track agreed improvement actions.
- Provide specialist advice and practical recommendations to relevant stakeholders on resilience risks, regulatory expectations and operational readiness.
- Support BCM training and awareness activities to strengthen business ownership, incident preparedness and continuity capability.
- Maintain BCM documentation and evidence, and prepare reporting, dashboards, KPIs and maturity assessments to support audits, regulatory interactions, management review and improvement planning.
- Operate as a BCM subject matter expert with no direct reports, coordinating BCM activities within the agreed framework.
- Provide specialist input, documentation and evidence to support audits, regulatory interactions and external assessments.
- Recommend BCM methodologies, planning cycles and continuity requirements for review and approval by relevant management.
- Track BCM improvement actions and reports progress against agreed priorities.
- 6-10+ years of experience in BCM, operational resilience, crisis management, or related areas.
- Master’s degree preferred in Risk Management, Business Administration, Engineering, IT Security, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating BCM frameworks, BIAs, continuity planning and exercises in complex or regulated environments.
- Experience influencing stakeholders in a cross-functional or multi-site environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to resolve complex continuity and resilience challenges independently.
- Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business priorities into practical BCM actions and improvement plans.
- Thorough knowledge of ISO 22301, business impact analysis, continuity planning, exercising, disaster recovery, crisis communication and risk methodologies.
- Fluent English; Dutch or Polish advantageous.
- Availability for business travel across Europe, approximately 20-30%.
