Job summary

MediaMarkt Hoofdkantoor is seeking a Business (Commercial) Controller to join the HQ - Controlling, Finance, Accounting & Tax team. You will act as the financial co-pilot of the commercial organization, guiding hundreds of millions of euros in Goods Income and profitability across MediaMarkt Benelux.

You collaborate with Category Management and Commercial Leadership to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions and translate insights into actions that drive growth.

Qualifications

• HBO or WO degree in Finance, Business Economics, Controlling, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Business Controlling, Commercial Finance, or a comparable financial role.
• Strong understanding of commercial finance, margin management, and profitability steering.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and SAP; Power BI or similar analytics tools is an advantage.
• Experience partnering with commercial stakeholders and influencing business decision-making.
• Experience in retail, FMCG, wholesale, or another commercially driven environment is advantageous.
• Good command of Dutch and English, spoken and written.

• Drive continuous improvement by simplifying processes, standardizing reporting and increasing automation.

At MediaMarkt Hoofdkantoor, we are looking for a Business (Commercial) Controller to join our HQ - Controlling, Finance, Accounting & Tax team.

You are the financial co-pilot of the commercial organization, helping steer hundreds of millions of euros in Goods Income, margin and profitability across MediaMarkt Benelux. As Business (Commercial) Controller, you don't simply report performance, you help shape it.

Together with Category Management and Commercial Leadership, you identify opportunities, challenge assumptions and translate financial insights into commercial actions that drive growth and profitability. You understand the story behind the numbers, the opportunities behind the strategy and the actions required to make an impact. Whether it is Goods Income, supplier funding, margin development or stock performance, you help the business make smarter decisions every day.

Your scope of work
