Job summary

Odido in the Netherlands seeks a contractor Business Analyst to independently perform analysis within a complex technology transformation, gathering and translating information into clear requirements and solution directions across multiple initiatives.

The role collaborates with program management, architects, security specialists, project stakeholders, and SMEs. You determine the approach, methodology, and execution to achieve deliverables, in a hybrid 32–40 hour workweek.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or related role.
• Experience in complex technology/infrastructure IT environments.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Strong stakeholder management across multiple levels.
• Experience translating requirements into practical solution directions with architects/technical specialists.
• Experience in cybersecurity, security transformation, or risk-driven programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform business analysis across multiple initiatives within the program.

• Maintain traceability between objectives, requirements, controls, decisions, and implementation activities.
• Identify dependencies and shared information needs across initiatives and departments.
• Proactively identify and resolve incomplete or missing information.
• Deliver structured analyses, reports, documentation, and decision-support materials.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE

The contractor will independently perform business analysis activities within a complex technology and security transformation program. The assignment focuses on gathering, analysing, structuring, and translating information into clear requirements and solution directions across multiple initiatives.

The Business Analyst will assess current situations, identify dependencies and risks, facilitate information gathering among stakeholders, and translate organisational objectives into practical business and solution requirements.

Working based on professional expertise and independent judgment, the contractor will collaborate with program management, architects, security specialists, project stakeholders, and subject-matter experts. The contractor remains responsible for determining the approach, methodology, and execution required to achieve the agreed deliverables.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / AREAS OF DELIVERY

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Engineer, Solution Analyst, or a comparable professional role.
• Experience working within complex technology, infrastructure, telecommunications, or IT environments.
• Proven experience in requirements engineering and business process analysis.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong stakeholder management experience across multiple organisational levels.
• Experience developing use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience translating business and technical requirements into practical solution directions in collaboration with architects and technical specialists.
• Experience within cybersecurity, security transformation, or risk-driven programs is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, security controls, and risk management is considered a significant advantage.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: 6 months
• Contract type: Freelance (ZZP)
• Working hours: 32–40 hours per week (hybrid; on-site presence 3 days a week)
• Rate: €95 – €110 all-in (excluding VAT)
