Job summary

DiscoverIT Recruitment is seeking a Freelance Business Analyst with substantial experience in policy processing and international insurance programs. The role demands responsibility for gathering business requirements, optimizing workflows, and coordinating with various stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in business analysis within the insurance sector. This position is fulltime and based in the Rotterdam area, with a contract lasting until the end of 2026, and a possibility for extension.

Qualifications

• Strong command of English (Dutch is a plus).

For one of our clients, we are looking for a Freelance Business Analyst with experience in policy processing, fee contracts, and international insurance programs.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and documenting business requirements
• Creating AS-IS and TO-BE process flows
• Developing swimlane diagrams and process documentation
• Supporting gap analysis, design, and build phases
• Preparing and supporting E2E/UAT testing
• Optimizing policy processing and broking workflows
• Coordinating with international and local stakeholders

Profile

• 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Experience within insurance, broking, or multinational programs

Knowledge of

• Policy processing
• Renewals & endorsements
• Fee contracts
• Broking operations
• Experience with BRDs, user stories, and functional specifications
• Strong stakeholder management and process analysis skills
• Experience in SOX/compliance environments is considered a plus
• Strong command of English (Dutch is a plus)
