Technical Business Analyst
Location: Utrecht, with hybrid working
Working hours: 36 hours per week
Language: English is required
About the role
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will bridge business objectives and technical delivery for enterprise agentic AI solutions. You will translate business needs into clear, testable requirements and ensure identity, platform, security, risk, and operational considerations are addressed from discovery through implementation.
What you’ll do
Elicit, analyse, challenge, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for agentic AI use cases.
Translate business outcomes into agent capabilities and constraints, user journeys, process flows, and measurable acceptance criteria.
Facilitate discussions across business stakeholders, product teams, architects, engineers, security specialists, and platform teams.
Assess how AI agents will interact with enterprise systems, APIs, data sources, tools, and business processes.
Capture and validate requirements for authentication, authorization, identity, RBAC, SSO, federation, and service access.
Identify security, privacy, compliance, audit, logging, data-protection, and secrets-management considerations early in solution design.
Evaluate dependencies, assumptions, constraints, gaps, risks, and operational impacts, maintaining end-to-end requirements traceability.
Support architectural and delivery discussions on containerized applications, Kubernetes, scalability, availability, configuration, and deployment.
What you bring
Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or in a similar role within complex enterprise technology delivery.
Experience working across business and technical teams in agile or hybrid delivery environments.
Strong requirements engineering and user journey mapping skills.
Experience defining functional requirements and measurable non-functional acceptance criteria, including security, performance, availability, scalability, and compliance.
Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with AI, cloud platforms, APIs, IAM, security, or containerized environments is strongly preferred.
Experience in banking, financial services, or another highly regulated environment is an advantage.
Technical knowledge
Agentic AI: Conceptual understanding of traditional AI, generative AI, copilots, chatbots, AI agents, agent runtimes and orchestration, tool calling, memory and context management, planning and reasoning, multi-agent systems, and human-in-the-loop patterns.
Identity and access: Solid understanding of authentication and authorization, identity management, user and service identities, managed and application identities, external or federated identities, RBAC, group-based authorization, SSO, and federation.
Platforms: High-level understanding of containerization, containers and virtual machines, images, registries, runtime environments, orchestration, and Kubernetes capabilities such as deployments, scaling, high availability, service discovery, configuration, and secrets.
Security and risk: Awareness of security-by-design, handling sensitive and confidential data, IAM, data protection, secrets management, network security, audit and logging, common security anti-patterns, and financial-services regulatory expectations.
How you work
You are a trusted bridge between business owners and technical specialists. You communicate technical concepts in business language and business intent in terms useful to engineering teams. You ask effective challenge questions, surface assumptions and risks, make trade-offs visible, and build shared understanding. You know when to involve architecture, security, risk, compliance, and platform specialists, without needing to be the solution architect or hands-on engineer.
What success looks like
You turn business intent into implementable, traceable requirements. Agent capabilities and limitations are understood, access and security controls are explicit, and non-functional expectations are measurable—so delivery teams can move forward with fewer ambiguities, gaps, and late-stage surprises.
Practical information
You must be based in the Netherlands and available for the full assignment.
Self-employed (ZZP) and midlance arrangements are not permitted.
A pre-employment screening is required; you may start only after successfully completing it.
