Europol seeks a Senior Specialist – Europol Liaison Officer to drive external engagement with EU institutions. Based in The Hague, you will represent Europol with Brussels stakeholders and shape policy messaging in line with Europol’s objectives.

Your role includes drafting high-level briefings, monitoring EU policy developments, and advising senior management on key dossiers in the JHA area. A university degree and strong English are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in EU Affairs and JHA matters.
• Experience drafting strategic documents in English.
• Ability to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic policy advice to senior management on EU JHA dossiers.
• Monitor EU legislative developments and analyse policy impact.
• Establish contacts with Brussels stakeholders (EU Commission, Parliament, Council).
• Prepare high-level briefing notes for Council bodies and Commission meetings.
• Draft weekly reports on JHA developments for senior management.
• Represent Europol in Council/Commission meetings and advocate Europol’s interests.
• Develop policy positions and messaging aligned with Europol’s objectives.
• Foster collaboration across Strategy & External Relations and other directorates.
• Support senior management in meetings and events with EU counterparts.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
