Job summary

Amrâth Hotels in Amsterdam is seeking a breakfast employee to greet guests and start the day with tea or coffee. You ensure tables are set and the breakfast buffet stays tidy, while taking orders and assisting colleagues behind the bar. After breakfast, you prepare for lunch and hand over responsibilities at shift end.

The role is based in a historic Amsterdam setting within a five-star hotel group, offering a clear path for growth and a supportive team environment.

• Because of the early hours, it is useful that you live in the Amsterdam area.
• Relevant experience is always useful but not necessary, our team can teach you everything.
• You have a good command of Dutch and/or English. Do you speak an additional language?

Are you an early bird with a passion for good food and hospitality? When most snooze their alarm, you are already eager to provide the ultimate breakfast for guests. Does this sound appealing to you? Then you might be the breakfast employee we are looking for!

What will you be doing?

But what is the ultimate breakfast? As a breakfast employee you are the first face the guests will see that day. You welcome them with a smile and immediately offer them a delicious cup of tea or coffee. You ensure that the tables are set so that the guest can take a seat right away. You also ensure that the breakfast buffet remains tidy and you take orders so that the guest does not lack anything. Where necessary, you have no problem helping your colleagues behind the bar and you are always willing to help. When breakfast is finished, you prepare everything for lunch. And starting early naturally also means finishing on time. At the end of your shift, you hand over the responsibilities to your colleagues and you still have the whole afternoon to do other things.

In the former Shipping House of Amsterdam, you’ll find one of the city’s most iconic five-star hotels: Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam. The hotel features 205 luxurious rooms, including 22 suites, 8 meeting and event rooms, a Bar Lounge, and a Spa & Wellness center. Conveniently located just 500 meters from Amsterdam Central Station and easily accessible from the highway, it’s a prime destination.

What do we offer you?

• An uplifting position of 38 hours in the heart of Amsterdam.
• A salary in accordance with the Hospitality collective labor agreement, 2462,64 EUR to 2562,13 EUR, based on a full-time contract of 38 hours and depending on your experience.
• A 1-year contract with the possibility of an extension. We want you to stay with us!
