Job summary

Lemonade is seeking an Automation-First QA Engineer to embed quality into the Billing Platform from the ground up. You will own the quality strategy for your domain, shaping tools, frameworks, and systems that let developers and AI agents move fast without breaking things.

You will design and implement automated testing across Web, API, and data layers, leveraging AI to improve test creation and coverage. This role requires strong coding in TypeScript or Python and excellent English

Qualifications

4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or SWE in Test.
Strong coding skills in TypeScript or Python.
Hands-on experience with Playwright or Cypress.
Experience designing end-to-end testing strategies across Web, API, and data layers.
Familiar with AI tools, prompt engineering, or AI agents.
Excellent written and verbal English communication.
Office-based work environment most days.

Responsibilities

Own quality strategy for the Billing Platform and guide day-to-day quality across code.
Build and evolve automated testing solutions for Web, API, and end-to-end flows.
Design tools, frameworks, and infrastructure to accelerate quality and autonomy.
Leverage AI agents to improve test generation and coverage analysis.
Collaborate with developers, Product, and Design to surface risks early.
Translate quality signals into clear priorities and readiness recommendations.
Promote quality engineering best practices across the organization.
