Job summary

ALARA is seeking a bender – machine operator to join the production team in the Netherlands. The role focuses on manufacturing soundproof enclosures, doors, structures and containers from sheet metal, with hands-on operation of press brakes, laser cutters and punching machines.

You will read technical drawings, program a CNC press brake and perform quality checks to ensure top quality while meeting production targets. The position requires commitment to safety and steady teamwork.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education at least VMBO level and able to read technical drawings.
• Experience with CNC machines and sheet metal working machines is an advantage.
• Reliable, able to work independently or in a team and eager to grow within the company.

Job description

Bender – Machine Operator (32 – 40 hours per week)

ALARA is a dynamic organization focused on solving noise problems for our customers. We offer customized solutions, including soundproof enclosures, walls and containers, soundproof ventilation systems, soundproof doors and silencers.

Our production team consists of approximately 80 employees. For this position we are looking for a bender – machine operator who is available at least 32 hours per week. This is a challenging role within a growing organization. Are you the bender -machine operator who will strengthen our team?

The function

In this function you will be responsible for manufacturing soundproof enclosures, doors, structures, containers and other products. You will perform various operations on sheet metal using press brakes (Safan) and laser cutting and punching machines.

In the role of CNC setter, you will work with a press brake, converting sheet metal into semi-finished products that are later further processed into finished products. You will independently operate and program a CNC-controlled press brake, read work orders and technical drawings, and perform quality checks to ensure the highest product quality.

Your profile

• You have a completed technical education at at least vmbo level and are proficient in reading technical drawings.
• It is an advantage if you are experienced in typesetting machines, CNC machines and sheet metal working machines.
• You have an active working attitude and can perform well under pressure without losing sight of quality.
• In addition, you are a reliable colleague who can work both independently and as part of a team. We are looking for someone who wants to develop further within our organization and has ambitions to grow.
