Job summary

Crowne Plaza Amsterdam - South is hiring a friendly bar attendant to join our Manhattan Lounge Bar and wider F&B team. You will welcome guests, take orders, mix and serve drinks, and help ensure smooth service with attention to detail.

We value hospitality, teamwork, and a proactive mindset. English is essential; Dutch or other languages are a plus. The role offers an inclusive, international environment with opportunities for growth and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or bar experience is preferred
• Passion for beverages and guest service
• Strong English communication; Dutch a plus

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and creating a friendly atmosphere at the bar and lounge
• Taking orders and serving beverages and light food
• Supporting bartenders by preparing and delivering drinks efficiently
• Providing menu knowledge, including drink recommendations and promotions
• Ensuring bar and lounge areas are clean and well-presented
• Handling payments and billing procedures, including cash and card transactions
• Assisting with stock replenishment and maintaining bar supplies
• Coordinating with bartenders and restaurant colleagues for seamless service
• Maintaining hygiene and safety standards (HACCP, Fire Life Safety, Green Engage)
• Being attentive and proactive in anticipating guest needs
