Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre zoekt een Banqueting Operations Supervisor om conferenties, events en meetings te verzorgen voor gasten van over de hele wereld. Je werkt samen met je team aan zaalopbouw en service.

Je bewaakt de operationele flow, traint medewerkers en zorgt voor een vlotte dienst tijdens drukke periodes met aandacht voor details zoals drankjes en eten, en behoudt een hoge gasttevredenheid in het hotel aan de rivier IJ.

Qualifications

• Relevante achtergrond in hospitality of events.
• Vloeiend Engels in schriftelijk en mondeling; Nederlands is gewenst.

Responsibilities

• Toezicht houden op en trainen van medewerkers.
• Voorzien in op- en afbouw van vergaderzalen.
• Verwelkomen gasten en zorgen voor uitstekende service.
• Tijdens evenementen de zalen aanpassen en zorgen voor correcte drank-/maaltijdaanbieding.
• Drankjes voorbereiden en bestellingen opnemen; gastgesprek voeren over het bezoek aan Amsterdam.

A unique opportunity to work as a Banqueting Operations Supervisor to provide conferences, events and meetings with guests from all over the world. One moment you are serving the guests together with your team and the next you are busy setting up the rooms. At Mövenpick we make moments, do you?

Today on the schedule: a meeting of 15 people, a meeting with lunch of 20 people and a meeting of 30 people. An ongoing day for you and with your colleagues you make sure the guests have a good time with us. If your colleague cannot solve a complain, you jump in to help. You train external or internal team members and make sure that the shift runs smoothly.

You don't just take the order or help the guests; you go the extra mile. "Would you like ice cubes in your Coke or a piece of lime? Would you like a lovely piece of cake with your cup of coffee, or would you like a glass of wine with a dish? These are questions you ask, and you immediately feel if the guest needs them or not. You proudly talk about local products and take time for each guest despite the crowds. There are no limits to your abilities."

In addition, you will be:

• Involved in complex questions, complaints or feedback from our guests.
• Responsible for supervising and training the employees.
• Preparing and/or cleaning up the meeting rooms.
• Responsible for welcoming guests and making them feel at home. Good service is number one.
• Making desired adjustments to the rooms during or shortly before use.
• Giving correct information about the drinks and dishes and serving them in the right way.
• Making drinks and taking orders. You are also willing to have a chat with our guests about their visit to Amsterdam for example.

• Relevant background in hospitality or events.

• A monthly gross salary of between €2.645 and €3.289 in accordance with scale 6 of the Collective Labour Agreement for the Dutch hospitality and catering industry.
• A contract of 38 hours per week.
