Job summary

Hotel Okura Amsterdam is seeking a banquet set-up employee to prepare banquet rooms for events, ensuring standards are met and collaborating with Banquet Supervisors and Guest relations to make each event a success.

Work involves shifts across a 7-day week, approximately 7.6 hours per day, with possible night shifts and holiday work. Contract is for 1 year with possible extension, and compensation starts at €18.27 per hour including holiday pay.

Qualifications

• You possess good communication skills.
• You are physically healthy.
• You can work under pressure.
• You are a real team player.
• You have a good command of English (oral). Dutch is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Setting up banquet rooms for diverse events according to hotel standards.
• Working closely with Banquet Supervisors and Guest relations to ensure each event is a success.
• Ensuring that the service aligns with The Leading Hotels of the World standards.
• Developing a log regarding recurring meetings, planners and needs and points of attention.
• Cleaning tables and rooms according to hotel standards.
• Assisting with guest wishes and questions.
