NN Group Netherlands in The Hague is seeking a Backup and Cyber Recovery Engineer to help ensure resilience against cyber incidents and safeguard services for millions of customers worldwide.

You will join the MIaaS department in The Hague, designing and managing backup vaults, automating workflows, and running cyber recovery simulations while collaborating across security, infrastructure and compliance teams.

As a Backup and Cyber Recovery Engineer at NN, an international financial institution active in over ten countries, you will ensure that we remain resilient against cyber incidents. Based in The Hague, you will help safeguard our services for millions of customers worldwide.

What you are going to do

• Design, implement and manage enterprise backup solutions and cyber recovery vaults
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure and compliance teams to align with DORA, NIS2 and NN policies
• Automate backup and recovery workflows using scripting and orchestration tools
• Run cyber recovery simulations and disaster recovery tests with IT and business units
• Provide 24/7 support, including ticketing and on-call shifts

• Salary between €4,527 and €6,036 based on 36 hours per week, depending on your knowledge and experience
• 13th month and holiday allowance are paid with your monthly salary

Who you are

You are an IT engineer with proven experience in enterprise backup or storage solutions. As a team player, you can communicate effectively and lead by example.

• Skill with Azure, AWS or VMware platforms
• Proficiency in scripting and automation
• Familiarity with cyber recovery methods, immutable backups and ransomware
• A calm demeanour, good analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot under pressure
