Job summary

Ventula Consulting is seeking a Software Engineer to build a cloud-based platform with a strong backend focus. You will develop APIs and serverless services using TypeScript, Node.js and AWS, delivering work independently from design through deployment and production support.

The role emphasizes API design, AWS Lambda, queues, testing, and CI/CD, with a hybrid onsite requirement in Amsterdam. You will collaborate with engineers, UX specialists and Product Managers to deliver robust systems.

Qualifications

• Proficient in TypeScript, Node.js and AWS for backend services.
• Experience designing and building APIs.
• Experience with serverless AWS Lambda and event-driven systems.
• Strong testing: unit, integration and contract.
• Familiar with CI/CD and production deployments.
• Ability to work independently from design to production.
• Experience using AI coding agents is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Build serverless solutions using AWS Lambda.
• Work with queues, workers and orchestration tools.
• Test, deploy and monitor services in production.
• Build reliable systems that handle failures.
• Investigate and resolve production issues.
• Use coding agents to support software development.
