Globalprofessionals in Amsterdam is seeking a hands-on Backend Developer to build, scale and maintain Python/Django backends powering our AI-assisted recruitment platform. You will design APIs, models, and data workflows, ensure reliability, performance, and testability, and partner with frontend and product teams.

We value 3–7 years of backend experience, strong Django REST, PostgreSQL, and AWS; familiarity with Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of professional backend development experience with Python and Django.
• Strong REST API design, authentication, and background processing.
• Solid PostgreSQL modelling, migrations, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD, Git, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale Python/Django backend services and APIs.
• Model data, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity and performance.
• Build asynchronous workflows with Celery/Redis and monitor reliability.
• Integrate external platforms (ATS/HR systems) with robust error handling.
• Improve architecture with clear service boundaries and automated tests.
• Contribute to AWS infra and Terraform with the team; production-readiness focus.
