Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend software engineering with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Hands-on experience directing coding agents (Claude Code or similar).
• Strong background in backend architecture and system design.
• Experience building scalable, distributed systems.
• Familiarity with GitLab, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Redis, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of event-driven or message-based architectures.
• Hands-on Google Cloud experience: Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Run, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale backend systems for a high-scale SaaS platform with agentic-first methods.
• Own the quality bar: review agent-generated code and ensure end-to-end correctness.
• Advance agentic testing to align speed with accuracy across deployments.
• Help build and extend the tooling around the agent layer at Cape.io.
• Make architecture decisions for performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
