DAF Trucks NV is offering an internship within the management accounting team of PACCAR Parts Europe. You will generate reports, support forecasts and budgets, and analyze financial data in an international setting, mentored by experienced analysts and controllers.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear communication of findings in English (Dutch a plus). Start date February 2027, with monthly internship allowances and additional travel/housing supports.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Finance & Control or a related field.

• Good communication skills to explain financial findings to non-financial colleagues.
• Proactive and independent, yet comfortable asking for guidance when needed.
• Strong command of English; Dutch is an advantage.

In this role, you will support the management accounting team of PACCAR Parts Europe and gain first‑hand insight into how crucial strong management reporting is to the success of the business. You'll work alongside experienced analysts and controllers, contributing to the financial backbone that keeps the organisation running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Generating various reports such as daily and weekly sales reports, and monthly management accounting and sales reports;
• Supporting analyses and forecasts to help guide business decisions;
• Analysing financial data and identifying trends and insights;
• Assisting with budget tracking and variance analysis;
• Collaborating with different departments to gather data and validate information;
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of reporting processes

You will work under the supervision of an experienced analyst and/or controller who will mentor you throughout your internship. This is your chance to see how financial data translates into strategic business decisions in a real, international business environment.

Your profile

• You are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Finance & Control or a related field;
• You have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy working with numbers and data;
• You are detail‑oriented and take pride in accuracy and quality;
• You have good communication skills and can explain financial findings clearly to non‑financial colleagues;
• You are proactive and independent, yet comfortable asking for guidance when needed;
• You have a good command of the English language – a requirement in this international working environment;
• Good command of the Dutch language is an advantage;
• Start date is February 2027

You will be joining PACCAR Parts Europe, a division dedicated to supporting the aftermarket needs of DAF Trucks customers across Europe. The Control department you’ll be working in is a crucial part of the finance organisation, responsible for providing accurate financial insights that drive business decisions.

PACCAR Parts Europe operates in an international environment, with colleagues from different countries collaborating to ensure efficient operations and optimal financial performance. The control department plays a vital role in monitoring business performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting management with timely, accurate reporting.
