Qualifications

• 5+ years of Azure DevOps experience including setup and configuration.
• Experience translating IT policies into technical implementations and managing stakeholders.
• Knowledge of SAST/SCA integration into Azure DevOps pipelines.

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior Azure DevOps Specialist to professionalize and restructure an existing Azure DevOps environment. The focus is on governance, security, CI/CD standardization, automation, and migration to a new Azure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and improve the existing Azure DevOps setup, including repositories, pipelines, agent pools, and security.
• Develop Azure DevOps governance, policies, guardrails, and branching strategies.
• Design and implement standardized YAML-based CI/CD pipelines and reusable templates.
• Integrate security controls such as SAST, SCA, quality gates, and compliance checks.
• Optimize and automate self-hosted agent pools and agent image management.
• Support the full migration of the Azure DevOps environment between Azure subscriptions.
• Coach and support development and DevOps teams through workshops and knowledge transfer.
• Create documentation and support the adoption of new DevOps practices.

Requirements

• Completed HBO ICT education or equivalent.
• Valid Microsoft Azure DevOps Level 3 certification.
• Minimum 5 years of Azure DevOps experience, including setup and configuration.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting DevOps teams with CI/CD.
• Minimum 2 years of experience translating IT policies into technical implementations and managing stakeholders.
• Demonstrable experience integrating security tooling such as SAST/SCA into Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Experience with Sonatype and/or Fortify is an advantage.
• Strong coaching, communication, and workshop facilitation skills.
• Experience improving non-standardized DevOps environments.
• Experience in complex or public-sector environments is an advantage.
