Job summary

This role stands out for its hands-on impact on building and scaling modern cloud-based data platforms on Azure. You will set up and automate Azure data infrastructure from the ground up, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and future-ready solutions.

You will design IaC with Bicep and Terraform, build CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, automate tasks with PowerShell, Azure CLI and Python, and optimize networking, compute, storage and data services.

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure infrastructure and cloud data platforms.
• Proficient in IaC with Bicep and Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell and Azure CLI; some Python.
• Experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, networking and security components.
• Proactive, ownership mindset and collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure as code using Bicep and Terraform to provision and manage Azure resources.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to support secure and efficient deployments.
• Automate infrastructure tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI and Python where required.
• Support and optimise Azure services including networking, compute, storage and data platforms.
• Work closely with cross functional teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable data infrastructure.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve performance, security and cost efficiency across the Azure environment.
• Contribute to documentation and technical standards across the data platform.
