Job summary

Pracyva ltd is seeking an experienced Data Centre Operations and Infrastructure Support professional to manage daily data centre tasks, server rack handling, and hardware maintenance. You will monitor uptime, coordinate with remote teams, and ensure compliance with security procedures.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills for mission-critical environments in a fast-paced setting. Office-based in the Netherlands with potential after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 4-8 years of Data Centre Operations or Infrastructure Support experience.
• Hands-on with servers, storage, and networking equipment.
• Strong understanding of data centre environments and processes.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem).
• Experience in mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day data centre operational activities.
• Execute server installation, decommissioning, racking, stacking, and cabling.
• Monitor data centre infrastructure and respond to alerts.
• Support hardware troubleshooting and replacement activities.
• Manage physical asset inventory and maintain documentation.
• Coordinate with remote teams for incident resolution.
• Conduct health checks and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure availability and reliability of critical infrastructure.
• Escort vendors during maintenance windows when required.
• Adhere to security, safety, and compliance requirements.

• 3-8 years of experience in Data Centre Operations or Infrastructure Support.

Key Responsibilities

Data Centre Operations

• Perform day-to-day data centre operational activities.
• Execute server installation, decommissioning, racking, stacking, and cabling activities.
• Monitor data centre infrastructure and respond to operational alerts.
• Support hardware troubleshooting and replacement activities.
• Manage physical asset inventory and maintain accurate documentation.

Infrastructure Support

• Support network devices, servers, storage systems, and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate with remote engineering teams for incident resolution.
• Perform routine health checks and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure availability and reliability of critical infrastructure.

Vendor & Facilities Coordination

• Coordinate with on-site vendors and maintenance providers.
• Support facility activities including power, cooling, and security-related tasks.
• Escort third-party vendors during maintenance windows when required.

Compliance & Security

• Adhere to data centre security, safety, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure all activities are performed according to organizational policies and procedures.
• Support audit and compliance activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 4-8 years of experience in Data Centre Operations or Infrastructure Support.
• Hands-on experience with servers, storage, and networking equipment.
• Strong understanding of data centre environments and operational processes.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
• Experience working in mission-critical environments.

Technical Skills

• Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Switches, Routers).
• Server hardware troubleshooting.
