Job summary

PassiveLogic is seeking a Controls Deployment Engineer to bring autonomous building technologies to life in live commercial environments. You will deploy, commission and validate systems at customer sites, working alongside experienced engineers in the intersection of commercial HVAC, intelligent controls and AI.

You will inspect equipment, collect data, troubleshoot across hardware, networking and software, and support startup and testing activities to ensure reliable field performance.

Qualifications

• Commercial HVAC experience in mechanical rooms, surveying, testing or commissioning equipment.
• Strong communication with customers, coworkers and leaders; Dutch language bonus.
• Organized, curious, self-directed with initiative.
• Collaborative across teams, customers and subcontractors to ensure deployments.
• Adaptive to fast-paced startup environments; able to learn, iterate and innovate.
• Proactive problem solving; own issues from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, commission, and validate autonomous building technologies in live commercial buildings.
• Perform site surveys, inspect HVAC equipment and controls for digital twin development.
• Test building controls, sensors, actuators, and equipment for autonomous operation readiness.
• Diagnose issues across mechanical, controls, networking and software stacks from field to platform.
• Assist with system startup, functional testing and deployment activities with engineering teams.
• Capture and validate operational data from building systems to support optimization.
