Job summary

Nexperia in the Netherlands seeks a Principal Validation Engineer to lead validation and characterization of cutting-edge semiconductor products. You will define strategies, drive automation, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure functionality, quality and reliability from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Several years of semiconductor validation/characterization experience.
• Strong knowledge of silicon validation and data analysis techniques.
• Hands-on experience with electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Programming and automation in Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, MATLAB, or similar.
• Experience with mixed-signal, power management, or isolation devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define validation strategies, test plans, and acceptance criteria for new semiconductor products.
• Lead silicon validation and characterization across process, voltage, and temperature.
• Develop automated validation solutions, measurement setups, and test methodologies.
• Analyze results, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Correlate simulation, lab, and production test data to improve performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in validation processes and data analytics.
• Provide technical leadership and coaching to engineers within project teams.
• Support customer investigations and quality improvement initiatives.
