Job summary

Moleda in the Eindhoven region is seeking a hands-on Automation & Service Engineer to own the Plant control software, commissioning and first-line support for the Plantsauna. You will develop, test and document the control system, collaborate with technicians and our production partner, and drive improvements from idea to implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics or industrial automation.
• Several years of hands-on industrial automation experience including commissioning or field service.
• Solid knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal and S7 PLC programming; HMI and PROFINET are plus.
• Good English; Dutch is an advantage; applications in English.

Job description

We are looking for a hands-on Automation & Service Engineer who takes ownership of the control software, commissioning and technical support of our machines. At Moleda we build the Plantsauna, a thermotherapy system that lets growers treat pests and diseases in horticultural crops with precisely controlled heat instead of chemicals.

This is a mid-level engineering role with direct responsibility for our PLC and HMI software, the commissioning of new installations and first-line support of our growers. You work closely with our technician and production partner and bring structure to how we document, test and improve our machines. Regular travel within the Netherlands and abroad is part of the job.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the control software of the Plantsauna (Siemens TIA Portal, S7 PLCs, HMI).
• Commission new units at customer sites, from installation and testing to handover.
• Provide first-line technical support to growers, on site and remotely.
• Own the technical documentation: functional descriptions, electrical drawings, test protocols.
• Support assembly and factory testing together with our technician and production partner.
• Drive improvements in software, hardware and processes from idea to implementation.

Qualifications & experience

• HBO/bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics or industrial automation, or equivalent experience.
• Several years of hands-on industrial automation experience, ideally including commissioning or field service.
• Solid knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal and S7 PLC programming; HMI and PROFINET are a plus.
• Structured, self-driven and comfortable in a small company where you do both the thinking and the doing.
• Customer-oriented and able to explain technical matters clearly.
• Good English; Dutch is an advantage. Applications should be submitted in English.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Eindhoven region, with a valid driving licence.
