Overview

We are seeking a Dutch speaking Automation Engineer to join a cross-functional team and enhance the production environment. You will work with Digital Manufacturing, IT, Engineering and external parties to drive process automation improvements within a global food and nutrition group known for health-oriented products and scientific innovation.

The role focuses on maintaining and improving process automation systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining our process control system and documentation
• Ensuring maximum availability of systems
• Monitoring the application of IA and IT standards
• Advising and implementing process optimizations
• Supporting CAPEX projects in all phases
• Supporting suppliers of automation solutions
• Ensuring storage and reporting of process data
• Analyzing and following up on faults

Ideal Candidate

• HBO working and thinking level, hands-on mentality
• 5 years of experience with process control systems in the process industry
• Knowledge of DCS systems such as ABB800xA, Siemens PCS7 or DeltaV
• Curious, problem-solving attitude with attention to detail
• Strong communication and social skills in a team environment
• Experience in an FMCG environment with emphasis on project and validation methods (FAT, SAT)
• Fluent in Dutch and English (required)

Contract & Benefits

• 12-month temporary contract via our agency, with possible renewal or offer (no guarantee)
• Salary around €6000 - €7000 gross per month (40 hours/week), based on education and experience
• 30 annual leave days

The position is part of the Industrial Automation Team of approximately 10 employees, with a focus on process technology and instrumentation. The company emphasizes sustainability, responsible sourcing and continuous innovation.
