Automation Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Automation Engineer to join our Design & Build team in delivering a cutting-edge automation solution for a major client. This role is a key part of an ambitious program aimed at modernizing IT infrastructure and migrating end users to a new architecture.

As an Automation Engineer, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team to design, implement, and maintain automation workflows for the provisioning and deployment of services and applications. Your solutions will reduce manual intervention, increase efficiency, and set new standards in automated IT delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation solutions for IT provisioning and deployment.
• Work closely with IaaS engineers to integrate and automate technical components.
• Script and sequence applications using tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform.
• Enable one-click deployment through integration with ServiceNow.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and support seamless integration in development and test environments.
• Collaborate with testers to resolve defects and deliver fully compliant, production-ready solutions.
• Document solutions and contribute to knowledge transfer to support teams.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and team knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Experience

Must-Have:

• Proven experience with IaaS automation and provisioning systems.
• Strong scripting and programming skills.
• Familiarity with test automation techniques.
• Experience with tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform.
• Experience with Open Source.
• Experience with hypervisor and containerized architectures.
• Fluent in Dutch and English
