Job summary

QuantWare seeks a Quantum Measurement and Calibration Engineer – Automated Calibration to join our Calibration Software team in a hybrid setup in Delft, Netherlands. You will build scalable, automated QPU bring-up software in production-grade Python, focusing on device pre-screening, gate calibration, and continuous recalibration routines.

You’ll work with software engineers, experimental physicists, and production teams to deliver fast, reliable bring‑up of QuantWare QPUs.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in Physics, Quantum Information, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 2+ years cryogenic measurement experience on multi-qubit superconducting quantum processors.
• Strong Python programming skills for data acquisition and automation pipelines.
• Solid software engineering practices: OO design, Git, testing, and code reviews.
• Automation-focused mindset to reduce manual measurement overhead.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated calibration software to characterize and calibrate large-scale QPUs (resonator spectroscopy, crosstalk, single- and two-qubit gates, readout optimization).
• Write modular Python code with automated testing, CI/CD, documentation, and version control.
• Own software functionality from concept through coding, validation and integration.
• Collaborate with Processor Development and Production teams to gather needs and improve calibration workflows.
