Job summary

Ardena seeks an Associate Scientist Immunochemistry – ligand binding assays to contribute to our Oss lab. You will coordinate studies, perform ELISA/ECL testing, and help validate methods while collaborating with cross-functional teams across Ardena sites.

The role requires a biomedical degree, hands-on assay experience, and strong documentation and training abilities. Travel to Assen for training and collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc degree in a biomedical field.
  • Hands-on ELISA and ECL, preferably using MSD; bioanalysis and method validation.
  • Experience coordinating, documenting and evaluating bioanalytical studies.
  • Experience in training and coaching of junior technicians or new team members.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (GLP, GMP, or ICH/FDA/EMA) and working in a GxP environment (including LIMS).
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch (preferred) and English.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily activities with the Team Manager and Project Manager; plan timelines, execute, document, and ensure quality control of studies.
  • Perform analytical testing on biological samples using immunoassay techniques (ELISA, ECL) and validate methods.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems and regulatory guidelines; maintain thorough documentation (GLP/GCP).
  • Instruct, train, and support technicians.
  • Maintain and qualify laboratory equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Assen and other Ardena sites to support client projects and timelines.

Associate Scientist Immunochemistry – ligand binding assays (32-40 hours)

As an Associate Scientist Immunochemistry you will contribute to the growth of our state‑of‑the‑art laboratory in Oss, which focuses on advanced analytical testing for small and large molecules. Your role will consist of coordination of studies within the lab, combined with lab work like bioanalysis and validation. Your primary location will be Oss, but you will travel frequently to our site in Assen, for training purposes, collaboration with cross‑functional teams and project management.

Your key responsibilities
  • Responsible for the coordination of daily activities together with the Team Manager and Project manager; i.e., planning/timelines, execution, documentation, and quality control of assigned projects/studies.
  • Perform analytical testing on biological samples using a range of different immunoassay techniques, like ELISA and electrochemiluminescence (ECL) as well as implementation and validation of these bioanalytical methods.
  • Ensuring compliance with the quality system and regulatory guidelines and maintain thorough documentation (GLP and GCP).
  • Instructing, training, and supporting technicians.
  • Maintaining and qualifying laboratory equipment.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams in Assen and other Ardena sites to support client projects and timelines.
Your profile
  • A BSc or MSc degree in a biomedical (related) field.
  • Hands‑on experience with ELISA and ECL, preferably using MSD; bioanalysis and method validation, data analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience in coordinating, documenting and evaluating bioanalytical studies.
  • Experience in training and coaching of junior Technicians or new team members.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (GLP, GMP, or ICH/FDA/EMA guidelines) and working in a GxP environment (including LIMS).
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch (preferred) and English.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
