Qualifications

• PhD in law or manuscript accepted with specialization in human rights, law enforcement and security.
• Demonstrable research experience in new technologies, including Artificial Intelligence.
• Outstanding research qualities with publication record.
• Sound teaching skills and higher education experience.
• UTQ or willingness to acquire UTQ within 2 years.
• Excellent network of academics and professionals in security/law enforcement.
• Fluent in English and Dutch (C1 level).

Responsibilities

• Develop original, fundamental research and engage in policy-relevant research.
• Collaborate on research projects with Tilburg Law School and Technology and Fundamental Rights initiatives.
• Contribute to teaching courses in Law & Technology and supervise Bachelor’s and Master’s theses.
• Lead or contribute to professional education in Dutch and English.
• Prepare tenders and research proposals to acquire new projects.
