Job summary

Nutreco is seeking an Assistant ESG Controller to support CSRD implementation and strengthen ESG reporting and internal controls at a corporate level. You will collaborate with a broad network of stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

The role is a temporary assignment of at least three months, with part-time or full-time options, ideally based in the Netherlands with Amersfoort office presence; remote work can be discussed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years relevant experience in a finance-related role.
• Analytical and precise mindset with ability to recognize relationships between reported information and critically assess its reliability.
• Proactive and motivated mindset, able to perform during peak reporting periods and reach out to stakeholders.
• Strong people and number skills.
• Fluent communication skills in English, both speaking and writing.

The role supports the implementation of CSRD legislation and strengthens ESG reporting processes and internal controls at a corporate level. It ensures the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of sustainability data across the organization by working closely with a broad network of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the collection, validation, and quality assurance of ESG data.
• Carry out structured reviews, reconciliations, and analytical procedures to verify reported information.
• Identify gaps in data availability, data quality, and reporting processes.
• Provide practical recommendations and support to stakeholders to address gaps and improve ESG reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with the Corporate ESG Controller and CSRD Process Controller during CSRD legislation implementation.

Employment Conditions

This is a temporary assignment of at least three months, with both part‑time (minimum three days per week) and full‑time options available. The role is ideally based in the Netherlands, with regular presence in our Amersfoort office preferred, although remote working arrangements can be discussed.
