Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services, Inc. at Schiphol is seeking an Assistant Cargo Controller to support the Cargo Controller with daily operations, monitor cargo flows and supervise on-site teams in a busy 24/7 environment.

You will prepare flight-based plans, coordinate ULD movements between warehouse, platform and airside, resolve system issues in PCHS and help develop a positive, safe working atmosphere. The role requires experience in air cargo, a valid B driving licence and fluency in Dutch and

Qualifications

• Experience in air cargo, cargo control or a comparable logistics environment.
• Experience with pallet movers and tractors; Mulag is an advantage.
• A valid category B driving licence.
• Strong technical and operational insight.
• Stress-resistant and able to maintain overview during busy periods.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Willingness to work in shifts within a 24/7 operation.
• Experience in a leadership role or as a senior operational employee.

Responsibilities

• Support the Cargo Controller with daily operational tasks and monitor cargo flows.
• Prepare daily plans based on flight schedules and expected cargo volumes, aligning with transport capacity.
• Coordinate ULD flows between warehouse, platform and airside and ensure priorities are followed.
• Supervise Cargo Control staff, cargo drivers and couriers and guide new employees.
• Work with the PCHS system and resolve first-line issues; assist in daily use and problem solving.
• Ensure order and overview airside, including deployment of dollies and other equipment; assist loading/unloading trucks at the MTD.
