Job summary

Mistral AI is seeking Applied Scientists with deep expertise in engineering sciences to work at the frontier of AI-accelerated simulation. You will work with industrial customers and internal research teams to build and deploy AI Physics Models alongside our existing offerings of Large Language Models (LLMs).

You will contribute across the full stack: curating high-fidelity simulation datasets, training and evaluating models, and delivering production-grade AI solutions directly to engineering

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in AI or engineering science.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Experience with PyTorch or JAX.
• Proficient Python and Linux/HPC.
• Ability to work across research, product, and customer teams.
• Industrial or academic experience in AI for engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and run large-scale AI-physics simulation campaigns.
• Train and evaluate models on physics data.
• Build data pipelines and evaluation tools.
• Develop agents and RAG integrating LLMs with workflows.
• Collaborate with research and engineering teams.
• Manage projects and client communications.
