Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent research experience with strong ML foundations.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and evaluate new Generative AI approaches for foundation models with direct impact on eBay's customers.
• Design and run rigorous experiments across LLMs, multimodal models, agents, and retrieval.
• Develop models and prototypes, translating research into scalable production systems.
• Improve training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and continuous improvement using feedback.
• Work with large-scale data to formulate problems and measure impact offline/online.
• Collaborate across research, engineering, product, and platform teams and share knowledge.
