Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking an experienced Applied Cryptographer for a fast-scaling semiconductor company. You will design and analyze cryptographic algorithms and protocols, combining theory with practical implementation across hardware and software.

Working with hardware and software teams, you will drive security architectures, formal verification, and security proofs to meet stringent assurance requirements. You will stay aligned with PQC trends and communicate complex concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Cryptography or a related discipline
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of modern cryptography
• Symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic algorithms and protocols
• Post-quantum cryptography and emerging cryptographic standards
• Experience designing, implementing and maintaining cryptographic libraries
• Formal methods, formal verification and/or formal security proofs
• Strong mathematical foundations, including number theory, probability, complexity theory and abstract algebra
• Cryptographic security analysis and vulnerability assessment
• Secure software development, code reviews and security audits
• Hardware/software security integration within complex systems
• Security assurance, certification or standards-driven development
• Ability to translate complex cryptographic concepts into practical engineering solutions
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills
