Coolblue in Rotterdam is looking for an Android Developer to craft fast, reliable Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. You’ll collaborate with designers and stakeholders to deliver intuitive features and continuously improve performance.

You’ll contribute to architecture decisions, write tests, participate in Scrum, and grow your skills in a friendly environment with a strong home-office balance.

Qualifications

• Technical BSc/MSc in Computer Science or similar.
• 3+ years of experience as an Android Developer building large-scale mobile apps.
• Strong problem-solving skills; familiarity with SOLID and automated testing (TDD/BDD a plus).
• Code quality evident in structure, tests and code reviews.
• Experience working in a Scrum team and following agile practices.
• Fluent English.
• Resides in the Netherlands.

As an Android Developer, you make sure our mobile apps run smoothly and feel great to use. Whether customers are shopping in the Coolblue app or colleagues are using internal tools, you build impactful features with Kotlin. Together with your team, you make our apps a little better every day.

What does a Android developer at Coolblue do?

As an Android Developer, you build intuitive, fast, and reliable Android experiences using Kotlin and modern Android best practices. You work closely with designers and stakeholders to come up with smart solutions and share them with your team. You actively seek feedback on your code and skills, so you keep growing every single day.

You contribute to technical decisions on architecture, tools, and processes, so our app is not only functional, but also future-proof. You keep a close eye on app performance, analyze bottlenecks with your team, and continuously improve stability and speed. In short: you build Android apps that make users and colleagues happy.
