Job description

As an Analytics Engineer, you'll help build market data products for the cargo industry. You'll work with live airline capacity and trade flow data, developing forecasts and enriching existing datasets, in close collaboration with industry experts, engineers, and fellow analysts.

Who we are

We are Rotate. We help key players across the global air cargo and logistics industry make better commercial and strategic decisions. We provide cloud-based software and analytics, world-leading market data, and data-driven strategy consulting. Our clients include top-tier airlines, airports, freight forwarders, governments, shippers, investors, and other industry stakeholders.

Founded in 2022 by a core team of former aviation strategy consultants, Rotate has grown rapidly. We now have offices in the Netherlands and Malaysia and a diverse team of around 50 professionals, including strategy consultants, data scientists, software developers, and data engineers. Demand for our work continues to grow strongly, and we are therefore looking for talented analytic engineers to strengthen our team.

What you’ll do
  • Sit at the heart of our market data product team, developing and pressure-testing the business logic that turns raw market data into reliable, actionable products.
  • With guidance, take ownership of the development of new features, logic, and PoCs that help our customers take better sales, pricing, and strategic planning decisions.
  • Work alongside our engineering team to make sure new features are fully integrated into existing products and pipelines.
  • Get the opportunity to shape the product team, contribute to internal data standards, documentation, and best practices for analytics and engineering.
  • Occasionally join white-boarding sessions with customers or partners to solve analytical challenges together.
  • Become an expert in key industry data sets and products and build deep expertise in a globally connected market.
Why work at Rotate?

At Rotate, you'll join a fast-moving team that's tackling an endless stream of fascinating problems in an industry that's essential to the global economy. We build high-impact products and strategies using modern technologies, and we're committed to tailoring your personal and professional growth as we scale. Our performance management and learning programs are all about helping you grow, with coaching and mentorship on a daily basis.

In addition to excellent compensation, you'll get to:

  • Build things that matter. Solve complex problems in a critical industry. Advise clients on their most fundamental strategic questions, or partner with airlines to co-develop data-driven SaaS products with the latest technology stack. Drive efficiency and sustainability in global supply chains.
  • Write your own story. Feel like an entrepreneur within a well-funded company and established team. Help us build Rotate and share in our joint success. Partner with us to tailor your development and career ambition.
  • Live unforgettable experiences. Get exposed to different cultures, go on unforgettable offsites, experience the highs and lows of scale-up life…and if you're keen, travel the world and eat sushi in Tokyo!
Your qualifications
  • A university degree in a quantitative or analytical field such as Econometrics, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking, you enjoy breaking down complex problems and deriving clear conclusions from messy data.
  • Some practical experience with Python, whether through internships, personal projects, coursework, or just tinkering.
  • An interest in logistics, aviation, or supply chain, you're excited to become a domain expert and want to understand what the numbers represent for our airline and logistics customers.
  • Strong communication skills (in English), you can explain your reasoning clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues and feel as comfortable discussing product strategy as you are writing code.
  • 0–3 years of experience. This role is open to recent graduates and early-career candidates.
Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with SQL, PySpark, dbt, or data modelling concepts
  • Any prior experience in logistics, aviation, or a B2B data environment

If you're still reading and are excited about this role, we welcome your application even if you think you don't meet all the requirements. We understand that no candidate is perfect, and would love to hear your story. We are looking forward to hearing from you via careers@letsrotate.com.
