Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking a Fund Controller in Amsterdam to manage the financial operations and accounting of multiple investment funds, collaborating with Investments, Legal, Finance, and Investor Relations. You will oversee capital calls, investor drawdowns, distributions, fund cash flows, and NAV calculations, and support valuations and reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in fund accounting or related services, a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant field, Dutch and English fluency,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience within fund accounting, fund control, audit, or financial services.
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting audit processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, hands-on, ownership-driven approach.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Dutch language proficiency is required.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial operations and fund accounting of multiple investment funds.
• Manage capital calls, investor drawdowns, distributions, and fund cash flows.
• Support fund valuations, NAV calculations, and investor reporting processes.
• Prepare fund financial statements and assist with annual audits and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain relationships with investors, auditors, administrators, and other external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient fund operations and reporting.
• Identify and implement improvements to fund processes, controls, and reporting frameworks.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics

3+ years experience in fund accounting/ fund control/ audit

Fluent in English

Dutch language proficiency
