Job summary

ABN AMRO Bank N.V. seeks an ALM & Treasury Accountant to perform accounting and Product Control for Treasury/ALM portfolios, contributing to IFRS reporting and valuation movements.

You will work with Front Office, Risk and Finance to ensure accurate, IFRS‑compliant reporting while supporting Sustainable Financial Reporting and regulatory initiatives. A Master’s in Accounting or Finance is preferred, with Big 4 experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Able to work with high volumes of complex data and identify meaningful connections.
• Curious about underlying drivers, reason logically and have a strong eye for detail.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of valuation principles, including Prudent Valuation.
• Affinity with financial markets and instruments.
• Interest in Sustainable Financial Reporting (SFR).
• Experience within a Big 4 Audit firm is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting and Product Control activities for Treasury and ALM portfolios.
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual IFRS financial reporting.
• Analyse and explain developments in financial results, balance sheet positions and valuation movements.
• Support valuation processes from both an IFRS and Prudential Valuation perspective.
• Apply and further develop your knowledge of hedge accounting and financial instruments.
• Play a key role in Sustainable Financial Reporting (SFR), including the analysis and interpretation of sustainability‑related financial data.
• Work closely with Front Office, Risk, Finance and other stakeholders across the bank.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and data quality.
• Contribute to strategic and regulatory change initiatives.
• Deliver reports that are accurate, IFRS‑compliant and supported by robust controls and high‑quality data.
