Job summary

Santon Industry designs and manufactures customer-specific industrial switchgear from its modern Oud-Beijerland facility, just south of Rotterdam. You will join a small, hands-on team building and assembling high‑quality switchgear components and mechanisms.

Ideal candidates have an MBO background, hands-on experience in production or metalworking, and the ability to read drawings. Dutch language skills are preferred; training is available to learn on the job.

Qualifications

• MBO-level working and thinking ability with a technical background.
• Experience in an all-round production or metalworking role.
• Ability to read and independently work from technical drawings.
• Accurate, detail-oriented, and quality-focused mindset.
• Team player with a flexible attitude.
• Dutch language skills are preferred – permit and living in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Assembling electrical and mechanical components based on technical drawings and schematics.
• Machining and manufacturing parts (assembly, drilling, turning, milling, engraving, tapping).
• Building and assembling interlocks and switch operating mechanisms.
• Maintaining a clean and safe workplace and ensuring efficient use of materials.

About Santon Industry
At Santon Industry, we proudly design and manufacture customer-specific industrial switchgear solutions. For nearly 100 years, we have been delivering high-quality products to Industries such as energy, maritime, and defense.

One example? Our DC switches for nuclear submarines, capable of switching loads up to 1000 Volts and 800 Amps — both manually and automatically operated.

You will become part of an enthusiastic team of 12 production employees (backed by engineers and other staff) at our modern and fully equipped facility in Oud-Beijerland, just south of Rotterdam.

What will you do?
As an all-round technician, you play a key role in our production process. Your work will be diverse and hands-on:

• Assembling electrical and mechanical components based on technical drawings and schematics
• Machining and manufacturing parts (assembly, drilling, turning, milling, engraving, tapping)
• Building and assembling interlocks and switch operating mechanisms
• Maintaining a clean and safe workplace and ensuring efficient use of materials
