Job summary

Avt Connecting is seeking an All-Round Technical Maintenance Technician in Eindhoven. You will work with our machines and tools daily to ensure safe and reliable operation, perform maintenance and repairs, and assist when breakdowns occur.

You will coordinate with planning and production supervisors to minimise production disruption. You will handle a wide range of machines, tools, applicators and dies, contribute to new projects, and explore how digital software and data enhance machine

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs, investigate machine breakdowns and resolve technical issues.
• Work with hundreds of different machines, tools, applicators and dies, and continually learn about new technologies.
• Ensure maintenance is planned and done on time and calibrations are completed.
• Record maintenance activities, breakdowns, repairs and other technical information.
• Ensure spare parts availability and order them when required.
• Liaise with suppliers and external technicians and supervise on-site work.
• Utilize machine data, configurations and databases to improve digital capabilities.
• Contribute ideas for technical improvements to machines and processes.
• Stay updated on developments and explore new tools and solutions for production benefits.
• Identify when machines or tools need replacement and discuss investments.

All-round Technical Maintenance Technician

As an All-Round Technical Maintenance Technician, you will work with our machines and tools on a daily basis. You will make sure they continue to operate safely and reliably, carry out maintenance and repairs, and step in when a machine or system breaks down. You will always keep production requirements in mind and coordinate your activities with our planning team and production supervisors to minimise disruption to the production process.

You will work with a wide variety of machines, tools, applicators and dies. Your technical expertise will also play an important role in new projects. Does a new product require a different machine? Or do we see an opportunity to make a manual assembly process smarter or automate it? You will help explore what is technically possible and determine which solution best fits our production environment. This is what makes the role so varied and interesting!

And technology is becoming increasingly digital. Software and data play a growing role in our machines, and therefore in your work as well. For you, the computer is just as much a tool as a wrench or screwdriver. You will use it not only to look up technical information and record maintenance activities, but also to configure machines and make the most of the software that comes with them.

Tasks

• Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs, investigate machine breakdowns and resolve technical issues;
• Work with hundreds of different machines, tools, applicators and dies, and enjoy continually learning about new technologies and equipment;
• Ensure that maintenance is properly planned and that maintenance activities and calibrations are carried out on time;
• Accurately record and follow up on maintenance activities, breakdowns, repairs and other technical information;
• Ensure that the necessary spare parts for machines and hand tools are available and order them when required;
• Liaise with machine suppliers and external technicians and supervise them when they carry out work on site;
• Make effective use of the digital capabilities of our machines and help further develop them, for example by setting up and managing machine data, configurations and databases;
• Contribute ideas for technical improvements to machines, tools and our way of working;
• Stay up to date with developments in your field and actively explore new machines, tools, software and other technical solutions that could benefit our production processes;
• Identify when machines or tools need to be replaced or when new investments are required, investigate the available options and discuss these with production management and senior management.

Who you are:

• You are hands-on and enjoy investigating why something isn’t working and figuring out how to fix it;
• You are technically curious and want to understand what is possible. If you don’t know a solution yet, you enjoy finding out;
• You work accurately and systematically and make sure that maintenance activities, breakdowns and agreements are properly documented and followed up;
• You are digitally savvy and enjoy getting to grips with machine software, settings, databases and new systems. You don’t need to know everything already, but you are eager to understand how things work and what you can achieve with them;
• You are solution-oriented and look beyond a quick fix, considering how problems can be prevented in the future;
• You are approachable, enjoy working with people and naturally roll up your sleeves and get the job done together with your colleagues.

• You have an MBO-level technical education or equivalent technical experience;
