Job summary

BCG Platinion is seeking a GenAI IT Consultant to help design and implement AI platforms for leading organizations worldwide. You will work with client leadership to shape GenAI strategies, guide case teams, and drive tangible business outcomes using agile methods and modern tech.

You will collaborate with diverse clients, mentor junior team members, and contribute to practice development while advancing your GenAI and machine learning capabilities.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do

Are you passionate about harnessing the power of Generative AI to solve real-world problems? As a world-renowned and leading AI Consulting firm, we are actively seeking hands-on GenAI experts to join The AI Platforms Group.

The AI Platforms Group is BCG’s global centre for the design and build of AI platforms. Headquartered in London, Amsterdam and Brussels, we serve our global clients with industry insights, solution design, platform choice, technology strategy, and AI/GenAI build.

As a GenAI IT Consultant, you will work closely with our client’s leadership teams to understand their key challenges, define GenAI strategies, win buy-in for your recommendations and collaborate with BCG case team members to transform client potential into performance.

You will be responsible for specific parts of the project and will evaluate and coach our clients’ technology teams, manage quality and risk while maintaining client expectations and escalations. You’ll develop ground-breaking projects by enabling our clients to effectively use agile methods and modern approaches in the context of strategic IT implementation.

You will transform client potential into tangible outcomes, partnering with a diverse array of international and leading-edge clients to enhance their AI and machine learning capabilities with Generative AI.

You will also be supported by an extensive training curriculum, plus technology-specific training and mentoring to help build upon your technical skills. Depending on your seniority, you will also help guide junior members of the team, help with project proposals, client care, building relationships with peers and identifying new business opportunities.

Finally, as a GenAI Consultant, you will contribute to the Practice Area development and help to build the BCG brand as a key member of the case team.

What You’ll Bring

We’re Looking For Exceptional Talent With Experience Of Working In The Consulting Industry To Join Us. You Will Typically Have

• A bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Preferably with a focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data science.
• 3 to 10 years’ experience in IT strategy and consulting, professional software development or IT project management
• Previous Consulting experience is a must (focused on technology, digital initiatives)
• A strategic thinker, entrepreneurial, able to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills, strong customer focus and mental agility with a results orientation
• Strong technical expertise in Generative AI and Machine Learning
• Sound understanding of GenAI solution constructs e.g., LLMs, RAG, Guardrails, MLOps and multi-modality
• Understanding of various GenAI platform & middleware and how they fit in GenAI architecture e.g., AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex, Langchain or LlamaIndex
• Able to understand & apply advanced prompt engineering methods and related concepts (RAG, context windows, memory) RAG is a must!
• Experience in legacy environments and modern approaches to technology
• Track record of Agile consulting and advisory with experience in Digital and Agile transformations at scale
• Experience in IT organisation and process development
• Experience in the organisation of workshops at peer level and facilitating in client meetings
• Strong business acumen; can frame complex problems in appropriate business contexts
• Ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel to clients world-wide
• Highly professional and rigorous, results-oriented, driven and hard-working
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Loyal and reliable, possessing the highest ethical standard
• Good interpersonal skills but also judgement independency and autonomy
• Ability to propose innovative ideas, build empathy within the firm and win the trust of clients
