About The Business:

Taxes are complex. We make them manageable.
At Nextens, we build tax and compliance software that thousands of professionals rely on to stay compliant, work efficiently, and deliver accurate results. Our platform supports around 1 million filings every year, helping organizations navigate a constantly changing fiscal landscape with clarity and confidence.
About Role:
We are looking for an AI Software Engineer to help expand AI capabilities across our tax-focused product ecosystem. The role supports our AI-powered tax assistant but is broader than RAG alone: it also includes generative AI features, workflow automation, and AI-powered insights from fiscal data. This is a medior role for someone who can contribute independently to well-defined engineering tasks, work closely with senior engineers and domain experts, and grow their AI expertise while delivering practical product value.
Role Scope
You will contribute to building, testing, and improving AI capabilities in our products and internal workflows. Work may include RAG, LLM-powered assistants, structured outputs, workflow automation, AI-generated fiscal insights, data analysis workflows, evaluation, backend services, APIs, and limited frontend integration where needed. The main focus is AI, Python/backend, APIs, data, and integration work; C#, .NET, Angular, and TypeScript are useful but not core expectations. We will work with AWS AI-Driven Development Life Cycle (AI-DLC), an emerging AI-native approach that integrates AI collaboration across planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations, with people retaining oversight of critical decisions. We expect a curious, pragmatic mindset: someone who asks good questions, learns quickly, collaborates well with engineers and domain experts, and is open to both cutting-edge technology and new ways of delivering software.
