Job summary

Philips is seeking an AI Senior Systems Engineer to shape AI-enabled Systems Engineering and RAMS across the product lifecycle. You will drive adoption, identify scalable AI use cases for requirements, architecture, modeling, verification, and traceability, and coach teams on responsible AI practices.

The role requires a strong background in Systems Engineering, RAMS, and AI technologies, and offers an office-based setup with a 3-days-per-week presence in the Eindhoven area.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Systems Engineering, AI, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience driving engineering innovation, methodology development, or engineering transformation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering and RAMS principles and how they apply to large-scale product development.
• Solid understanding of AI technologies such as Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, ML, and Knowledge Graphs.

Responsibilities

• Drive the adoption of AI within Systems Engineering and RAMS practices across Philips.
• Identify, develop, and scale AI use cases for requirements, architecture, modelling, verification, validation, traceability, and knowledge management.
• Identify, develop, and scale AI use cases for RAMS like FMEA, data analysis, HALT/ALT, Modelling/Simulation & Analysis for hardware and software.
• Coach and educate Systems Engineers, RAMS Engineers, Architects, and leaders on AI opportunities, limitations, and best practices.
• Lead pilots and PoCs, translating AI capabilities into practical engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, software, data science, and AI experts to drive value for Philips.

AI Senior Systems Engineer (AI for RAMS & Systems Engineering)### Job DescriptionAs an AI Senior Systems Engineer, you will help shape the future of Systems Engineering at Philips by driving the application of Artificial Intelligence within Systems Engineering and Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety Engineering (RAMS) practices.You will identify opportunities where AI can enhance engineering activities, improve engineering productivity, and increase the quality, consistency, and traceability of engineering deliverables throughout the product development lifecycle. Acting as a thought leader and trusted advisor, you will help engineering teams understand, adopt, and effectively apply AI technologies within their daily engineering work.Working closely with systems engineers, RAMS engineers, architects, software teams, and AI specialists, you will bridge the gap between engineering challenges and emerging AI capabilities. The base salary range for this role is € 93,049 – € 155,081. We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations. This role is eligible for 6% annual bonus with your rewards linked to KPIs and the company’s performance.
