Job summary

Earthian AI is seeking AI Research Scientists to advance risk-grounded language models and inference systems using domain knowledge graphs. You will push boundaries in climate, geopolitical, technology, cyber, and policy risk reasoning for institutional use.

You will research, prototype, and evaluate inference-native models for financial and physical risk, collaborate with engineering to deploy research into Earthian Hub, and publish benchmarks both internally and externally where appropriate.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in ML, NLP, or a related field—or equivalent research experience with an exceptional industry track record.
• Publications, open-source work, or deployed models demonstrating depth in AI systems
• Experience with LLMs/SLMs, retrieval, knowledge graphs, or structured reasoning
• Interest in financial risk, climate science, geopolitics, or cyber is strongly valued
• Rigorous experimentation habits and clear communication with engineering and product teams

Responsibilities

• Research and prototype inference-native models for financial and physical risk domains
• Design evaluations that reflect real underwriting, investing, and risk workflows
• Collaborate with engineering to move research into production on Earthian Hub
• Publish internally and externally where appropriate; contribute to benchmarks such as FinR Bench
• Explore compound risk scenarios where multiple peril and policy channels interact
