Job summary

Amsterdam UMC is seeking an AI researcher to develop innovative AI tools for psychiatry, leading research projects in collaboration with clinicians and researchers. You will co-supervise PhD candidates and initiate AI-related initiatives for students, helping to grow future researchers.

You will also co-lead the data science interest group and contribute to regional data-sharing collaborations, while actively pursuing funding to sustain this research line.

Qualifications

• PhD in AI near completion.
• Experience with biomedical data analysis.
• Experience with image analysis, time-series analysis or unstructured data.
• Excellent communication, English proficiency; basic Dutch preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI research projects in collaboration with clinicians and researchers.
• Co-supervise PhD candidates and initiate AI research for students.
• Co-lead the department's data science interest group and regional data-sharing collaborations.
• Actively pursue funding to expand and sustain AI research in psychiatry.
