Job summary

ING invites energetic students to join the Energy Sector Coverage team in Amsterdam for a hands-on internship blending banking and AI. You will support client coverage activities, conduct market research, and analyze financial data while exploring practical AI use cases and simple proofs of concept.

As part of a global team, you’ll gain exposure to several product areas and work with mentors to apply AI tools in real-world banking scenarios. Hybrid in-office schedule offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s or 3rd-year Bachelor student enrolled at a Dutch university during the whole internship period.
• Interest in AI and digital tools in a business environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or comparable low‑code tools.
• Experience using generative AI tools is a plus.
• Interest in energy, finance and sustainability.
• Analytical, proactive and open to feedback.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a bonus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support client coverage activities including pitch preparation, market research and financial analysis.
• Explore and test practical AI use cases, build simple proofs of concept and evaluate outputs.
• Collaborate with product teams to support transaction execution.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
